Bess Durey & Jeff Younger

Bess Durey is a singer of the highest order – a heavy musician with gorgeous tone, stellar technique, and a natural ability to hit you emotionally where you need to be hit.  She’s also wicked smart and funny, so it’s always a pleasure to play music and hangout with her.  We’ve been playing together in various settings for a while now, with her super talented brother Lucien and the recently departed Terra Grimard, and the newest incarnation of the BD/JY exploration is only beginning to take shape.  I’m really curious to see where we end up because Bess always encourages me to sing more and I try and nudge her into more open creative territory, so it will undoubtedly be very, very cool and full of interesting surprises.
