As soon as I started playing music, I started writing music.  I enjoy spending endless hours scribbling down notes and trying to catch inspiration as it streams by, and I’ve also been labeled “quirky and creative” more than a few times in my life.  These things, coupled with a well-timed prompt at music school and an early exposure and natural draw to “New Music”, made the move toward composition a natural one.  Happily, people have responded to my music, I’ve received regular composition commissions for some major works, and am always generating new material for my own projects.  Composition is a big piece of my musical pie and on these pages you will find music for dance and contemporary classical music I have written, as well as jazz tunes, country tunes, improv pieces, and whatever else I get inspired to include.  I have a giant pile of pieces and scores to add, so now I just need to find the time to get it all up on the site!
